It was a sunny Sunday morning. We were on our way to Highley, Bridgnorth for the 10th race of the CX season.
This was a new venue, so I didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived, we realised it was also a motocross circuit.
We had a slight panic when we arrived as my bike valve broke off my when dad went to deflate my tyres for the muddy conditions. I went to sign on and when I came back dad had changed the inner tube. Panic over lol
I explored the course and I focused on planning the ‘off camber’ sections of the course.
On the start line my focus was to get a good start.
The race was really good, and I managed to stay in front of my competitors. I had a clean race with no falls or mechanicals and finished 1st in the under 12 girls.
After the race I collected my medal on the podium and I stayed to support the older riders in our club in their races.
